Terms of Use

1. Account Registration

To use LinkLand, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

2. Services Provided

LinkLand provides the following services:

• Link Shortening — Create and manage branded short URLs with custom short codes
• Click Analytics — Track clicks with geographic, device, browser, and referrer data
• QR Code Generation — Create customizable QR codes with logos and brand colors
• Smart Routing — Redirect users to different destinations based on geographic location, device, or browser
• File Hosting — Upload and share files via short links
• Event Management — Create event pages and manage registrations
• API Access — Programmatic link management via our REST API
• CSV Import/Export — Bulk link management through CSV files

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use LinkLand to:

• Create links to malware, viruses, or other harmful software
• Distribute spam, phishing content, or fraudulent material
• Host or distribute illegal content, including pirated or copyrighted material without authorization
• Engage in any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations
• Impersonate other individuals, businesses, or organizations
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Use the Service for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these policies without prior notice. Links that are flagged as malicious may be disabled immediately.

4. Subscription Plans & Billing

LinkLand offers the following subscription tiers:

Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a monthly or annual basis. You may cancel at any time; access continues through the end of your billing period. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

5. File Hosting

Files uploaded to LinkLand are stored securely on our infrastructure. File size limits are determined by your subscription tier. You are solely responsible for the content of files you upload and must ensure they do not infringe on any third-party rights or contain prohibited content.

We reserve the right to remove any files that violate these Terms or applicable law. Files associated with deleted accounts will be permanently removed within 30 days.

6. API Usage

API access is subject to rate limits based on your subscription tier. You must keep your API keys confidential and must not share them publicly. We reserve the right to revoke API keys that are used in violation of these Terms or that create excessive load on our infrastructure.

You may not use the API to build a competing service, scrape data from other users, or circumvent usage limits.

7. Link Redirection & QR Codes

LinkLand provides URL redirection as a core service. We do not guarantee 100% uptime for link redirections, though we strive for high availability. Short links may be disabled if they are found to violate our Acceptable Use policy.

QR codes generated through LinkLand are yours to use freely. However, the underlying short link must remain active for the QR code to function. We are not responsible for QR codes that have been printed or distributed after the associated link has been deleted or disabled.

8. Intellectual Property

The LinkLand platform, including its design, code, logos, and documentation, is owned by LinkLand and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any content you create or upload through the Service.

By using LinkLand, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host and serve your content (links, files, QR codes) as necessary to provide the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

LinkLand is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LinkLand shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or business opportunities.

10. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page. Upon deletion, all your data (links, analytics, files, QR codes) will be permanently removed within 30 days.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or remain inactive for an extended period (12+ months on the Free plan).

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notification. Continued use of LinkLand after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration.
